6 pedestrians struck by student driver in Calif.

One pedestrian was airlifted to John Muir Hospital and two were transported by ambulance to Eden Medical Center

LIVERMORE, Calif. — Three people received minor injuries Saturday night when a student driver struck six pedestrians at the intersection of Vallecitos and Wetmore roads, according to the Livermore Police Department.

Around 7:55 p.m. six pedestrians were crossing in a marked crosswalk on Vallecitos Road when a 20-year-old female driving a Honda Civic made a left-hand turn from Wetmore Road.

One pedestrian was airlifted to John Muir Hospital and two were transported by ambulance to Eden Medical Center. None of the injuries were life-threatening.

The driver, Farhat Mohammad, of Livermore, was learning to drive and had a valid permit. She was accompanied by a licensed driver.
