DARLINGTON, Ind. — A dispatcher took a chilling 911 call last month when a mother confessed to fatally stabbing her two children.

Brandi Worley, 30, has been charged with killing her young son and daughter, reported WISHTV.

Dispatcher Kyle Proctor answered Worley’s 911 call, and initially thought she was delusional, but quickly realized it was not a joke after he heard a woman screaming in the background.

“At first the longer it went and the more detailed she got you start feeling this is true,” Proctor said. “You hope and pray that it’s not.”

After Worley stated she stabbed herself and the two children, Proctor attempted to keep her on the line. But Worley handed the phone to her mother, who Proctor had heard in the background.

“The hardest part for me was hearing how [the] grandma reacted,” Proctor said. “I looked behind me and I got an officer crying.”

Proctor, who has been on the job for two years, said, “You never know if it’s going to be serious … My first ever 911 call here was an elderly lady who wanted the phone number to DISH network.”
