HORRY COUNTY, S.C. — A mental health patient that had been transported to Grand Stand Medical Center led police on a foot chase that ended with the man stealing an ambulance with three people inside.
WCSC 5 reported that the incident began after a man was taken to GSMC for placement into Emergency Protective Custody on Sunday morning, where he threatened hospital staff and led security on a chase through the hospital, ending up in the ambulance bay.
