CHEROKEE, Ala. — Authorities said a man who hit one emergency worker and chased others from his house with a fireplace poker and hand axe has been arrested.
Larry Dale Cosby, 45, 10630 White Pike, Cherokee, is charged with second-degree assault of an emergency medical technician or volunteer fireman, according to Colbert County Sheriff Ronnie May.
Cosby, who was arrested late Wednesday, chased the medical personnel from his house as they were trying to treat a family member, the sheriff said.
