Rescue squad member David Brice said all six Knoxville volunteers went inside Ellison’s Cave and helped pull the man, trapped 800 down in the cave, to safety.

“We helped with rigging. We helped with patient packaging and moving. And then there’s always the cleanup at the end. so there was maybe another five or six hours of cleanup work to make sure everybody gets out and the equipment get out and that’s done safely,” said Brice.
