CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Air Medical Transport Conference has been postponed from its Sept. 26-28 dates due to the riots in Charlotte.
“We believe continuing as scheduled would detract from AMTC’s world-class educational and networking experiences,” Association of Air Medical Services President and CEO Rick Sherlock said.
Air medical providers shared their frustration and disappointment on the AAMS Facebook page.
“So sad that the riots and unsafe conditions are causing this great program to be postponed,” Charlotte Clark wrote. “The very people who are about saving lives cannot meet to better themselves and their profession — truly sad!”
The AAMS is working with the City of Charlotte to find alternative dates.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding as we’ve been navigating the developing situation here in Charlotte,” Sherlock said.
We will update you once more information becomes available.
