BIRMINGHAM, England — An angry neighbor left a note on an ambulance while paramedics were treating a dying man, criticizing them for blocking his driveway.

Independent reported that the message was left on the windshield while a crew was responding to a call about a patient who was suffering internal bleeding.

“You may be saving lives, but don’t park your van in a stupid place and block my drive,” the note read.

“At the time, the crew was helping a man who was extremely unwell after vomiting a lot of blood,” West Midlands Ambulance Service said. “They assessed his condition and immediately took him on blue lights to hospital where he was in a critical condition. Our staff will always try and park considerately, but sometimes, there just isn’t time.”

The ambulance was reportedly parked for 30 minutes outside of Livingstone House, a rehabilitation center for drug and alcohol addicts.

“The crew was not on scene long due to how poorly the patient was,” paramedic clinical team mentor Sam Grimson said. “We always try to park appropriately, but sometimes it is not possible.”
