HOMELAND PARK, S.C. — Six kittens were pulled from a house fire on Lewis Street Tuesday afternoon, and when MedShore paramedics found one unresponsive, they worked to revive it.
Homeland Park firefighters responded to the call around 4:30 p.m. and once on the scene, found smoke coming from the roof.
No people were inside but firefighters did find six kittens, caught in the smoke. One kitten, named Sissy, was lifeless and barely breathing, but paramedics administered oxygen until it was moving.
