Off-duty firefighter resuscitates crash victim

Firefighter Adam Johnson happened to be walking by the crash scene when he realized the driver was not breathing

CARVER, Mass. — An off-duty firefighter helped rescue a man after his truck crashed into a pond, Saturday night.

Carver Firefighter Adam Johnson was walking by the pond when he noticed bystanders pulling Peter Grover, 66, out of the water, according to Boston.com.

Firefighter Johnson performed CPR on Grover, who was breathing on his own by the time paramedics arrived.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
