COLUMBUS, Ohio — A warm welcome awaited a firefighter who returned to work on Monday after more than a year off the job.
Lt. Anthony Torres of the Mifflin Township Division of Fire is starting a new chapter of his life after a serious motorcycle crash sent Torres to a hospital, where he made the hard decision to amputate his leg. Despite that tough decision, Torres and his wife, Stephanie, made the best of the situation.
“My beautiful wife, you’re the most amazing person and I think you for everything. I love you so much,” Torres said.
