ZION NATIONAL PARK, Utah — A 51-year-old Minnesota woman is dead and three other people are hurt after an antique Model T Ford overturned near Zion National Park in Utah.
Officials say the 1915 Model T was traveling along state Route 9 Friday morning when the driver pulled to the side of the road to allow traffic to pass. That’s when the right front wheel went off the pavement.
State troopers say the wooden spokes of the wheel came apart and the vehicle overturned, ejecting all four people in the car.
Three people were taken to Kane County Hospital by ambulance. One passenger was airlifted to the hospital, where she later died.
Authorities say all four people were from Minnesota.
