LOS FRESNOS, Texas — If you ever ended up in an ambulance you would probably have wanted someone like Edward Gomez by your side.
“There was just a genuine graciousness which made him great at his job,” Mack Gilbert, director of operations at Med-Care EMS said. “He was one of those guys that really cared.”
Gomez worked as a paramedic for Med-Care EMS, which services much of Hidalgo County. He and his family died when they were hit head on by another car on Highway 100 Sunday morning.
