WASHINGTON — President Donald Trump issued his proclamation for National EMS Week on Friday, stressing the efforts and sacrifices of EMS providers during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In his proclamation, the president noted the increased demand on EMS personnel, including volunteer and military providers, as well as the physical and emotional toll the crisis has taken.
“These heroes have courageously risen to the challenge. They remain undeterred in their efforts to deliver critical assistance to their fellow Americans,” the proclamation reads. “During this unprecedented time in our Nationa’s history, we are ceaselessly inspired by the sense of duty, selfless service, and sacrifice that epitomize EMS personnel.”
