BRONX, NY — A Bronx man who made a desperate 911 call for medical help was “abandoned” and left to die last year when emergency re sponders couldn’t figure out how to get into his apartment building, a bombshell lawsuit alleges.
Abdul Issah Mohammed, 37, died from a blood clot after cops and EMS workers showed up at the entrance to his block- long East 159th Street building, found it locked, left him a message on his cellphone — and then took off, court papers claim.
His body wasn’t discovered until two days after the 911 call. Family members, worried they hadn’t seen or heard from him, called police, and made the horrific discovery.
