LAKEVILLE, MN – ImageTrend announced a new enhancement to its Patient Registry solution. With the latest version, hospitals are now able to easily collect data for the American College of Surgeons’ Trauma Quality Improvement Program, or, TQIP®. Whether or not the hospital is participating in the program, Patient Registry aggregates the process measures as it is collected during trauma data collection and incorporates configurable data validation. The suggested values can be combined with the additional data for reporting on these process measure factors and submitted to the NTDB (National Trauma Data Bank) using the NTDS (National Trauma Data Standard).
Regardless of participation in the TQIP program, process measures collected with Patient Registry are available for advanced reporting and analysis using ImageTrend’s Report Writer, which is included with the Patient Registry solution. By collecting and analyzing these data, hospitals can use this tool to evaluate treatments against patient outcomes and identify best practices and areas for improvement.
“This feature is just one of many that provide real value for ImageTrend clients,” remarked Craig Rees, Product Evangelist at ImageTrend, Inc. “Our solutions not only make data collection easy, but turn that data into useful information with advanced reporting features at no extra charge. We’re very pleased to make this available as a standard feature and empower our clients with as many tools as possible based on national standards for improvement of patient care.”
The feature can be enabled by administrators or left inactive if desired, and will be available at no additional charge to Patient Registry clients with a valid service contract.
Patient Registry is ImageTrend’s trauma registry software – a powerful Web-based solution that collects and analyzes information on the incident, severity, causes and outcomes of trauma to evaluate factors and the health system’s response. It is currently being used as a Trauma, Stroke, STEMI, Burn, and Submersion Registry. Patient Registry seamlessly integrates pre-hospital EMS incidents to the medical facility and registry, eliminating data redundancies and ensuring patient-centric data aggregation.
