TOMS RIVER, N.J. — As the anniversaries of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks come, many people wave flags and remember those who were killed.

But many more continue to die. Those who are terminally ill as a result of the attacks do not need remembrance ceremonies to remind them of their daily pain and their sacrifice.
