SALT LAKE CITY — Paramedics with Gold Cross Ambulance may go on strike as soon as Saturday, leaving some St. George area officials to worry about the potential impacts on patient care.
The employees, who unionized last year with the Teamsters Union, say they have reached the breaking point after the better part of a year spent in negotiations with the company, citing poor work conditions, poor pay and broken promises.
“They’ve lied to us, again and again,” Jeff Wilding, a paramedic with the company, said Monday. “I have no trust that they want to do the right thing.”
