COLBERT COUNTY, Ala. — The National Transportation Safety Board has wrapped up its investigation in Colbert County of the Air Evac Helicopter that went down yesterday near Cherokee. The final investigation will take 6 to 12 months.
The NTSB did say power lines were not a factor in the crash.
A black ribbon and flowers were placed on the landing pad at the Air Evac Lifeteam Headquarters in Muscle Shoals today. The crew that took off from that pad included Pilot Michael Baker, Base Nurse Supervisor Tiffany Miles, and Flight Paramedic Allan Bragwell.
Daniel Sweza, Director of Base Operations for Air Evac Lifeteam, said, “Currently we are at stand-by mode in respect for the crews and our families.”
