APCO Annual Conference Accepted In U.S. DOC International Buyer’s Program

WASHINGTON — The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) International announced today their participation in the U.S. Department of Commerce’s (DOC) International Buyer’s Program (IBP).

The IBP brings together international buyers and U.S. companies by promoting leading U.S. trade shows in industries with high export potential. The DOC selects fewer than 40 trade shows each year for participation in this elite program.

The IBP benefits U.S. firms exhibiting at these select events and provides practical, hands-on assistance through export counseling and market analysis to U.S. companies interested in exporting.

“The International Buyer’s Program is a new and exciting opportunity for APCO International’s exhibitors to connect with a global audience,” APCO International President Wanda McCarley said.

The APCO International Annual Conference and Exposition, in particular the exhibit hall, will be promoted through U.S. embassies, consulates and Commercial Service Posts worldwide, providing APCO International’s exhibitors with an unparalleled international marketing venue. The IBP will also survey APCO International exhibitors and international delegates regarding their purchasing and selling interests in order to match exhibitors with prospective buyers.

APCO International’s 72nd Annual Conference and Exposition will be held in Orlando, Fla. Aug. 6-10 and will feature retired General Richard Myers, 15th chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff, as the keynote speaker.
