TUKWILA, Wash. — Two women were seriously injured when their car drove into the opposing lanes of traffic and slammed nearly head-on into a King County Medic Unit in Tukwila.

The collision happened just before 10 p.m. Wednesday in the 13200 block of International Boulevard, Tukwila police reported.

Investigators said two women, both 18, were in a car heading north on the road when the driver crossed over a raised center median and struck the southbound medic unit.

Both women were taken to Harborview Medical Center with serious injuries. Their conditions were unavailable Thursday.

The driver and passenger in the medic unit were taken to Valley Medical Center, where they were treated and released.
