JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A pedestrian has life threatening injuries after being hit by a Jacksonville Fire Rescue ambulance on Interstate 10 westbound on the city’s Westside Wednesday, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The accident happened about 10:30 a.m. near Lane Avenue.
A middle-aged man was hit by JFRD unit 31 after witnesses say he walked into traffic, said JSO Sgt. F. Fillingham.
