OMAHA, Neb. — The Omaha woman who pulled a gun in the back of an ambulance told a judge Wednesday that the weapon originally was in her waistband but she distracted police so they wouldn’t find it.

Justine Dubois, 24, pleaded no contest Wednesday to making terroristic threats, use of a weapon to commit a felony, possession of a gun by a prohibited person and theft by receiving.

County Attorney Don Kleine said a charge of felony assault was dismissed because a paramedic in the ambulance, Brock Borhart, was injured when Dubois’ gun went off but was not struck by a bullet.
