Ohio ambulance and car collide, catch fire

The EMT, who was en route to picking up a patient with emergency lights and sirens activated, was unharmed

BEAVER TOWNSHIP, Ohio — An ambulance was struck head-on by a car and caught fire early Tuesday.

WKBN reported that driver William Robb, 48, was driving on a highway when he passed a car by driving in the opposite lane. When he pulled into the oncoming lanes, he struck a Life Fleet ambulance.

EMT Lori Dalonzo, who was en route to picking up a patient with emergency lights and sirens activated, was unharmed, according to the report. The driver also suffered non-life threatening injuries. Troopers are investigating the crash.
