Narcotics stolen from Maine ambulances

Police department issued a press release seeking any information from the public about the burglary and theft, including about any suspicious vehicles or people

FORT FAIRFIELD, Maine — Someone broke into the Crown Ambulance garage here early Wednesday morning and stole an unspecified amount of narcotics from ambulances parked inside, according to local police.

The Fort Fairfield Police Department issued a press release seeking any information from the public about the burglary and theft, including about any suspicious vehicles or people that may have been seen in the area “during the early morning hours of June 5.”

No other details about the crime were provided in the release and the police chief was unavailable for comment Wednesday as he was working in the field, according to the dispatcher.
