TAMPA, Fla. — A 64-year-old man whose pickup was struck by an ambulance Monday night has died.
Jerold Dale Hager of Palm Harbor died at 7:07 a.m. today from injuries sustained in the crash, Tampa police spokeswoman Laura McElroy said.
The ambulance’s driver, 28-year-old Justin McKenzie of Palm Harbor, has been cited for careless driving. Authorities initially listed his age as 18.
