CHATHAM COUNTY, Ga. — An EMS agency is getting in the Irish spirit with a festive new ambulance design.

WTOC reported that the new Chatham Emergency Services is decked out with shamrocks and they will debut it to the public in the St. Patrick’s Day parade.

CEO Chuck Kearns said the agency was inspired to give the ambulance the festive spin after receiving such positivity from their patriotic-themed ambulance that honored armed forces last year.

“The ambulance got a positive vibe from the crowd. We even had several military people salute it as it came by. It’s about fun, but it’s also being safe, so a little bit of levity,” Kearns said.

The ambulance will join the rest of the fleet after the parade Saturday, and Kearns said the team is already brainstorming designs for next year.
