AUSTIN, Texas — An ambulance rolled down a steep incline in a Northwest Austin neighborhood early Wednesday, crashing into a residential garage, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

The crash happened about 1 a.m. Wednesday in the 2500 block of Beverly Hills Drive, south of RM 2222, EMS spokesman Warren Hassinger said.

Paramedics were responding to a call at a neighboring home when the ambulance rolled down a steep incline about 300 feet and hit a garage, Hassinger said.

Nobody was in the garage or the ambulance.

Although an investigation is ongoing, Hassinger said that other vehicles have rolled down the same incline.
