TULSA, Okla. — A man high on bath salts climbed on top of an ambulance Sunday night and refused to come down for three hours, officials say.

The incident occurred at a QuikTrip in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where a Creek County Ambulance rig was stopped to get gas when the man jumped on top of it, according to KTUL.

Personnel from the Emergency Medical Services Authority (EMSA), Tulsa Fire Department and Tulsa Police Department responded and tried to convince the man to come down for several hours before they finally managed to remove him.

The man had been taken to the hospital earlier on Sunday after taking bath salts but was discharged due to his behavior, officials said.

After being pulled down from the rig, the man was sedated and transported back to the hospital. It is unclear if the man will face charges, but police said the only crimes committed were malicious mischief and public intoxication.
