Ky. police search for 3 women posing as EMS

They have been knocking on doors claiming to be EMTs and asking to see resident’s medications

PAINTSVILLE, Ky. — Police are searching for three women who have been going around a neighborhood posing as EMTs and asking to go into people’s homes to look at their medications.

Sheriff’s Deputy Tim Clark told WYMT that they’re driving a silver minivan around the model year 2000.

Officials warn that EMS providers don’t ask to see people’s prescriptions unless they are treating a patient, and will always be in an emergency vehicle. They are asking residents to not open the door and to call police if anyone comes to their house claiming to be an EMT and asking to see any medications.
