MANKATO, Minnesota — Gold Cross has been part of the Mayo Clinic system since 1994, but it’ll soon rebrand to reflect the affiliation.
The ambulance service officially became Mayo Clinic Ambulance Monday with upcoming signage changes to match. New-look ambulances are expected to debut in Mankato on April 15.
“For a while, people may see both Gold Cross and Mayo Clinic ambulances in their communities – but it’s always the same Mayo Clinic paramedics and EMTs caring for them,” said Dr. John Wald, a member of the Mayo Clinic Ambulance Service board of directors, in a news release.
