HAVERFORD, Pa. — Commissioners recently voted to approve the University of Pennsylvania Health System as the township’s new emergency medical services provider.
Penn was selected from a pool of bidders that included Crozer-Keystone Health System and the Volunteer Medical Service Corps of Lower Merion and Narberth. Officials said the decision followed months of extensive research and review of options and proposals, in addition to recommendations from Township Manager Larry Gentile.
Gentile was authorized to revise a current agreement with Penn, which commissioners will vote on in July, with implementation expected in September or October, Gentile said.
