Pa. EMS director held for court on sex assault charge

PITTSBURGH, Pa. — It started as a celebration of the news that his wife, pregnant with their first child, was going to have a girl. It ended, according to testimony Friday, with Steve Frank Tedesco Jr. — the executive director of the Cranberry ambulance service — sexually assaulting a sleeping 19-year-old man.

The 19-year-old took the witness stand Friday at a preliminary hearing before District Judge David Kovach of Cranberry. The Post-Gazette does not identify victims of alleged sexual assaults.

His faced flushed with embarrassment, the teenager recounted his shock when he said he was awakened about 4:30 a.m. when he felt the assault by Mr. Tedesco, 29, of Cranberry.

“I was very disturbed,” he said.
