CONYERS, Ga. — The former Rockdale County Emergency Medical Technician accused of attempting to lure who he thought to be two 13-year-old girls for sexual purposes pleaded guilty Monday to two counts of obscene Internet contact.

Tommy Gene McDonald, 40, of Conyers, waived his right to a jury trial Monday during a hearing before Rockdale County Superior Court Judge David Irwin.

Both offenses carry a penalty of one to 10 years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine, according to court proceedings.
