GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. — An EMS agency struggling to fill vacancies will begin reaching out to high school seniors to gauge their interest in emergency services.
The Greenville Sun reported that Greene County EMS has a handful of positions open, but their advertising is “getting no bites.”
EMS director Calvin Hawkins said they will begin to reach out to schools with graduating seniors who might be unware of opportunities in EMS. Hawkins said part of the issue in filling the vacancies is the specific training the job requires.
Officials are hoping to steer students with an interest toward proper preparation.
