KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The summer months are extremely hard on firefighters who have to battle the high temperatures as well as the blaze, but Wednesday a different kind of training was held for area firefighters to help with that.
The drill is designed to help save firefighters lives after they leave the fire.
“We deal with heat stroke, heat cramps, things of that nature so we just need to be cognizant - one of our environment and two, how our firefighter are holding up in the extreme conditions,” said Kansas City, MO, Battalion Chief James Garrett.
