CHARLESTON, W.Va. — A group of paramedic students from Kentucky were on their way back from EMS Today Conference and Expo when they spotted a car crash and helped respond.
WCHStv.com reported Eastern Kentucky University students Jon Gaddis, Leah Gaddis, Brad Harp, Ashley Brosmer and faculty member and paramedic David Fifer immediately jumped into action.
The students secured the accident scene, organized bystanders and began treating a man who had been severely injured in the crash.
When responders from the Pinch Volunteer Fire Department and Kanawha County EMS arrived, students worked with them as they extricated the man from his truck.
