BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — A woman fired shots inside an ambulance at the Birmingham Airport before stealing it and leading police on a chase Saturday morning, according to Birmingham Police.
Paramedics were at the airport to transport the suspect to a hospital at 11:20 a.m. when officers received a report of shots fired from the rescue unit.
Investigators say paramedics suffered only minor injuries.
