Disoriented man attacks paramedic after car crash

The man was uncooperative and assaulted the paramedic, who sustained minor injuries

SEATTLE — An injured, disoriented man assaulted a paramedic who stopped to help him after a car crash Wednesday.

KOMONews.com reported that the incident unfolded around 1 a.m. when police responded to the crash. Once on scene, officers found that a car had crashed into another vehicle and kept rolling until it hit a fence. One driver was nowhere to be found. About an hour later, police and paramedics responded to a report of a delirious man with a head wound walking around disoriented.

When an AMR ambulance arrived on scene, the man was uncooperative and assaulted a paramedic. Crews were able to get the man into an ambulance and transported him to a hospital.

The paramedic sustained minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital.

Police officials are working to determine if the man is the driver of the crashed car. They took a blood sample to see if he was under the influence.
