Texas city council ends Acadian contract that began Jan. 1

The Pflugerville City Council voted to restart efforts to find a new EMS service and plan to consider public and private options.

PFLUGERVILLE, Texas — Just months after approving a contract with Acadian Ambulance Service, the Pflugerville City Council voted to mutually terminate the contract Tuesday night, KVUE reported.

The council originally approved the contract in November, and it took effect on Jan. 1.

Acadian will continue providing service until July 13.

The council members voted to reopen their efforts to find a new provider and plan to consider public and private options.
