LINCOLN, W.V. — Three high school students were transported to the hospital Monday after two buses collided in Lincoln County, dispatchers said.

The driver of a Lincoln County High School bus rear-ended another bus at about 4 p.m. Monday along Straight Fork Road in Hamlin, according to Lincoln County 911 dispatchers.

Three 16-year-old students were transported by ambulance to Thomas Memorial Hospital, complaining of neck and back injuries, dispatchers said.
Both drivers were uninjured and the buses received only minor damage, dispatchers said.

West Virginia State Police Trooper M.J. Martin, of the Hamlin detachment, is investigating. Police dispatchers were unsure if either driver was cited Monday night.
