WOODBRIDGE, N.J. — A former EMT and volunteer firefighter was accused of asking a 12-year-old boy for nude pictures online.
NJ.com reported that Zachary Motta, 22, appeared in court Thursday on one charge of sexual exploitation of children.
Motta was arrested in February and charged with endangering the welfare of a child and possession of child pornography after allegedly chatting with the boy online. U.S. Attorney William Fitzpatrick said Motta sent photos of himself in his EMT and firefighter uniform, and then asked the boy to send nude photos.
“Just don’t get caught,” Motta allegedly said to the boy.
Motta was detained after appearing in court. He is facing a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years in prison.
