LOS ANGELES — A sci-fi movie about two New Orleans paramedics is set to be filmed.
Deadline reported that actors Jamie Dornan, who recently starred in “A Private War,” and Anthony Mackie, of “Captain America: Civil War,” are in talks to star in “Synchronic,” a thriller that follows two paramedics as they encounter a series of traumatic deaths connected to a designer drug that has supernatural effects.
The film will be directed by Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead, who previously collaborated on “The Endless.”
“Being huge fans of the nuanced, brilliant work of Anthony and Jamie, this is a filmmaker’s wildest dream come true,” the directors said. “They each possess an extraordinary depth of personal experiences, humor and pathos that brings a massive wellspring of humanity to the battle-scarred partnership being portrayed.
