YORKSHIRE, U.K. — Ambulance staff in South Yorkshire have been the victims of 60 physical and verbal attacks in the last seven months, new figures have revealed.
Paramedics going to the aid of injured people have been punched, kicked and spat on by the very people they were trying to help. Others have been threatened verbally and racially abused.
Since last July 60 attacks on paramedics were recorded in South Yorkshire - nearly two a week.
