POTTSTOWN, Pa.- Firefighters have been pulling double duty, because when it’s this hot, it’s not just the heat from the flames they’re fighting.
“This summer’s heat is noticeably worse,” said Goodwill Ambulance paramedic Freda Clouser.
And she should know. Clouser has been with Goodwill for more than 25 years.
She is part of an ambulance team designed specifically to rehabilitate the firefighters, who with 50 pounds of bunker gear are especially susceptible to dehydration and heat exhaustion.
