SUFFOLK COUNTY, N.Y. — The cockpit of a Boeing 737-800 reported being hit by a green laser while landing at Kennedy Airport on Tuesday.
Minutes later, a police helicopter dispatched to investigate was struck by a laser as well, according to Newsday.
The crew of the helicopter, two officers and an EMT, was taken to Stony Brook Hospital for treatment and released.
The Boeing was descending from 12,000 feet when the initial incident occurred.
It is unclear if anyone in the cockpit of the jet liner was injured.
