HAMILTON, Ohio — While it may not be easy for a local wife and mother to put out fires at work and at home, Heather Garcia manages to fair well with reinforcements from her husband.
The 33-year-old Hamilton paramedic and firefighter said the best part of the job is not knowing what emergency will come up next.
The hardest part? Being away from her husband and their year-old son and 2-year-old daughter during 24-hour shifts every three days.
