Ex EMS head gets 120 days, must repay $50,000 he stole in Ind.

Former Adams Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services head Jerry Bultemeier was sentenced to 120 days in jail and ordered to pay more than $50,000 in restitution on six charges of theft.

Bultemeier pleaded guilty to the charges this week in Adams Superior Court and was given a three-year suspended prison sentence, with the exception of 120 days in jail on three of the six charges, to be served intermittently between now and March 23, 2007.

On the other three charges, he was given another three-year suspended prison sentence. Along with the $50,098.78 in restitution, Bultemeier has to repay the $7,266 cost of an audit conducted by the State Board of Accounts, as well as $156 in court costs.
