NEWBURY, England — Police are searching for a middle-aged man after he moved an ambulance with a patient inside to claim a parking spot last month.

Officials said the man got out of his Mini Cooper to move an ambulance that was blocking a parking spot Dec. 29, 2016. EMS providers were in the back of the ambulance treating a patient with a life-threatening condition at the time of the incident, reported the Belfast Telegraph.

Police said the sudden movement caused “distress and discomfort to the patient.”

“His actions could have had very serious consequences for the patient, who was receiving emergency care,” officer Nick Easener said.

The suspect was last seen wearing light blue jeans, a dark khaki jacket and is around 5 feet 10 inches tall.
