CALNE, England — Thieves stole a set of ambulance keys as paramedics treated a patient inside a pub in Calne, England.
The assailants drove the ambulance approximately 65ft away, before fleeing on foot with the set of keys, reports Western Gazette.
PC Mel Neal, of the Wiltshire Police, said “This was a mindless act which could have resulted in an extremely serious incident for the patient being treated.
“The ambulance wasn’t in use for the rest of the night which could have put other people’s lives at risk too.”
Police have not yet located the keys, or identified suspects in the theft.
