COLUMBIA, S.C. — A 21-year-old man managed to get out of his handcuffs and jump out of an ambulance Monday on the way to a hospital.
Charles Haywood Frazier, 21, faces multiple charges after police responded to a report of a disorderly person, and called an ambulance after noticing he had a medical problem, WLTX10 reports.
Police say he exposed himself and spit on an officer during the arrest. As he was being transported, he somehow got out of his handcuffs and jumped from the vehicle. Police were able to find him a short time later.
Officers took him to the hospital, and he will eventually be transported to jail.
